* The day-to-day managing of the Contact Centre - the sourcing of necessary equipment, resource planning and the implementation of efficient and effective call centre strategies
* Carrying out performance reviews, cost/benefit analysis and needs assessments
* The setting of performance targets: speed, efficiency, sales and quality
* Ensuring these targets are met
* Ensuring all relevant communications and data is recorded and updated
* Advising clients on services and products
* Liaising with supervisors, team-leaders, operatives of the company and third parties to gather information and resolve issues
* Staying up-to-date with industry news and developments
* Call monitoring to improve communication quality
* Co-ordinating contact centre staff recruitment - writing job vacancy advertisements and liaising with HR staff
* Reviewing the performance of staff and organising additional training where appropriate
* Recording statistics, user rates and the performance levels of the contact centre and preparing reports
* Handling serious customer complaints or enquiries that have been escalated
