Job Role
*Experienced Diagnostic Technician to operate as a Team Leader within a busy and state of the art workshop based in the Middlesex area.
*Keeping their customers on the road is critical, and to do so they must continue to offer a fantastic service to minimise disruption to their lives, hence this new and exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities
*As a Diagnostic Technician Team Leader you will be managing a team of nine technicians, providing technical support, liaising with customers where required and ensuring that the company's ramp utilisation target is achieved.
*You will be responsible for work completion deadlines, hours target, productivity, quality, customer care demands and housekeeping.
*You will also regularly meet with team members, providing individual performance and business updates and communicating important messages, where required
*To manage the day to day running of the team, upholding standards in respect of time keeping and discipline.
*Ensuring work undertaken is being completed in a timely manner, according to the manufacturer's guidelines and following the company guidelines on time recording, highlighting any persistent problems to the Service Manager.
*To ensure that the individual team member's performance is achieved to support the needs of the business.
*To offer technical support to the team members, communicating with Technical Department, where required.
*To regularly meet with team members, providing individual performance and business updates and communicating important messages, where required.
*Working with Workshop Controller where required to allocate work to technicians, monitoring progression of jobs and ensuring sold hours are maximised.
*Prioritising jobs through the workshop as appropriate.
*Managing walk in customers and repeat visits effectively and responsibly
*Overseeing any Apprentices assigned to team, ensuring they are being developed, allowing them time to complete required coursework and are meeting the required standards in accordance to the Apprenticeship programme.
*Assisting the front of house team to ensure customer satisfaction is exceeded.
*Ensure that special tools and equipment are kept in good order and that problems are immediately notified for action.
*Implementing and maintaining a Quality Control standard for work completed by your team, addressing any shortfalls identified.
*Ensure that customer's vehicles are cared for and returned in a satisfactory condition for handover.
*To ensure that the work bays and surrounding areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
*To ensure that the image and levels of customer service within the department are in line with company standards and that customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively and that any unresolved problems are referred initially to the Service Advisor.
*To ensure that within their area of operation all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health and safety are adhered to.
*Handle all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and ensure the Mercedes-Benz experience is delivered to all contacts at all times.
*Responsibility for site security.

Diagnostic Team Leader Requirements
*We are looking for an experienced Diagnostic Technician who is looking for a new challenge, working for a brand that is at the forefront of technology and innovation. 
*You will need the following skills and experience:
*City and Guilds Motor Repair/BTEC/NVQ to a Diagnostic Technician level or equivalent qualification.
*Previous experience in a similar role and environment, ideally in a franchise dealership.
*Attendance on product and skill training courses.
*Full and clean driving licence
*PC literate
